Shane McCarthy
Shane is a 24-year-old mechanical engineer and the former Canadian Cruiserweight National Champion in amateur boxing. In his final year of University, frustrated with the daily hassle of rolling and air drying hand wraps, he set out to build a better solution. What began as a personal project has grown into a tool used by fighters worldwide.
Luke Richardson
Luke is a 25-year-old combat sports athlete who has trained alongside Shane for years. With a deep passion for boxing and MMA, he understands the everyday challenges fighters face. Luke brings creative insight, a fighter's mindset, and a drive to help bring the Drago Roller to athletes worldwide.

From prototype to international sales.

November 2024
First prototype built
Frustrated with the time wasted rolling his hand wraps and the lack of an easy way to dry them, Shane built the first version of the Drago Roller using steel brackets and clothes hangers. A rough prototype, but it proved the idea had potential.

December 2024
Engineered for production
Drawing on his background in mechanical engineering, Shane refined the design in CAD and began 3D printing early models. Faster, more compact, and built to be portable.

February 2025
Patent filed
Recognizing the potential, a provisional patent was filed to protect the design and secure the innovation behind the product.

March 2025
Testing with local fighters
Initial units were handed out to local boxers and coaches. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, confirming the need for a faster, more efficient way to manage hand wraps.

Official launch
After months of iteration and testing, the team launched the Drago Roller online, offering fighters a smarter way to manage their wraps.
